The main disadvantage is the irreversibility of the procedure with classic veneers — during tooth preparation, part of the enamel is abraded. Veneers are also not suitable for teeth with extensive fillings or significant damage. With composite veneers, gradual discoloration may occur. However, with proper care and regular check-ups, veneers serve reliably for many years.
