Dental veneers Brno

A perfect smile thanks to thin ceramic veneers

Dental veneers are thin ceramic or composite shells that are applied to the front surface of teeth. They address discoloration, unevenness, small gaps, and chipped edges — and the result is a natural, radiant smile. Veneers for front teeth are one of the fastest ways to aesthetically transform your teeth. At the m2stoma clinic, we will help you choose the type of veneer that meets your needs and possibilities.

Types of dental veneers and when they are used

Ceramic, composite and all-ceramic veneers for a natural look

Veneers vary in material, durability, and price. Based on a consultation, we will recommend the option that best suits the condition of your teeth and your expectations. The most common types include:

  • Ceramic veneers — laboratory-made from high-quality ceramic that optically matches natural tooth enamel. They are color-stable, durable, and can last ten or more years with proper care.
  • Composite veneers — made in the office from composite material. They are more affordable and faster, but have a shorter lifespan than ceramic veneers.
  • No-grinding veneers — ultra-thin shells that in some cases allow them to be glued directly to the tooth without the need to grind the enamel surface.

White veneers for teeth are also suitable as an alternative to whitening if the teeth are permanently discolored and classic whitening does not have a sufficient effect.

Dental veneers will help if:

You have stained teeth that don't respond to whitening
You want to smooth out minor irregularities or close gaps between your teeth
You have chipped or worn edges on your front teeth
You have multiple poor-quality or unaesthetic composite fillings on your front teeth

How veneers are placed step by step

From consultation to a new smile

What does it actually involve when you decide to have dental veneers? The entire procedure is non-invasive and can usually be managed in two to three visits.

  1. Consultation and visualization: The doctor will evaluate the condition of your teeth, discuss your ideas, and use visualization to show you how veneers on your front teeth can transform your smile. Together, you will choose the type of veneer and shade.
  2. Tooth preparation: A thin layer of enamel (usually 0.3–0.7 mm) is gently ground away from the front surface of the tooth to ensure a perfect fit for the veneer. This step is omitted for veneers without grinding.
  3. Impression or digital scan: We will take an accurate impression or digital 3D scan, based on which the dental laboratory will produce a veneer tailored exactly to your teeth.
  4. Veneer fabrication in the laboratory: A laboratory technician will fabricate the veneer from the selected material — ceramic or composite. In the meantime, the tooth may be protected with a temporary veneer.
  5. Placement and inspection: The finished veneer is permanently bonded to the tooth with a special adhesive. The dentist checks the fit, color, shape, and bite, and makes final adjustments.

Dental veneers price

Investing in a radiant smile

The exact price is determined by the doctor after a consultation — it depends on the number of veneers, the chosen material and the extent of tooth preparation. The cost of veneers for all teeth therefore varies from case to case.

Frequently asked questions

Ceramic veneers can last 10-15 years or more with proper care. Composite veneers have a lifespan of approximately 5-7 years. Care is the same as for your own teeth: regular cleaning, interdental brushes and visits to the dental hygienist. We recommend avoiding biting hard objects (nuts, ice) and wearing a night splint if you tend to grind your teeth.

The main disadvantage is the irreversibility of the procedure with classic veneers — during tooth preparation, part of the enamel is abraded. Veneers are also not suitable for teeth with extensive fillings or significant damage. With composite veneers, gradual discoloration may occur. However, with proper care and regular check-ups, veneers serve reliably for many years.

The price of veneers for front teeth depends on the chosen material and the number of veneers. Composite veneers are more affordable, ceramic veneers are more expensive, but offer a longer lifespan and a more natural look. We will prepare an exact calculation for you after the examination.

Veneers are ideal for aesthetic corrections — discoloration, unevenness, gaps or minor damage to the front teeth. However, they are not suitable for significant bite defects, bruxism (teeth grinding) or severely damaged teeth, where a crown is more appropriate. The final assessment will be made by the doctor during the consultation.

Ceramic veneers are made in a laboratory from dental ceramics — they are more durable, color-stable, and usually last 10–15 years. Composite veneers are made directly in the office from composite material. They are more affordable and faster to make, but aesthetically they are fundamentally inferior to ceramic ones — their surface is less natural, they can change shade over time, and they need to be repolished approximately once a year. The lifespan of composite veneers is usually shorter (5–7 years).
